Our Pastor

 

Pastor John Rayford is a native of Arkansas. He spent his formative years in California and has resided in Illinois since 1994. John & Jenai have served the Lord together as husband and wife since June 16, 1984.

John is a graduate of the Mount Zion Theological Seminary. He served as a Junior Deacon at early age under the direction of his father, the late Rev. Albert Rayford. His service to the Lord continued through adolescent years, High School, college and into adulthood. He has served in a number of capacities, they include: President of the Adult Usher Board, Drill Sergeant of the District Usher Board, Vice-President of the Adult Choir, and also as a Deacon. He has also served as President of the District Youth Department, Choir Director of the District Youth Department, guest speaker and preacher for various churches and local organizations. Prior to his pastorate at Mt. Moriah he served as an Associate Minister, Assistant Pastor and Interim Pastor. He is also the progenitor and facilitator of the seminar series "God Wants His Family Back!!!" John is a licensed and ordained Baptist Minister/Preacher of the gospel. His gifts include Family Ministries, church administration, motivation and proclamation.

 

Our First Lady 

Jenai is a graduate of the University of Michigan. She has been blessed to serve the Lord as an usher and Sunday school teacher. She has also served as President of the Junior Women's Department, Deaconess, District Representative for Ministers Wives, and District President for the Junior Women.  In addition, Jenai is the former Recording Secretary for the Ministers Wives and Ministers Widows Conference of the Orthodox Woodriver Baptist State Convention. Currently, she is the Director of Hope For The Future organization.
