Financial Peace University 2007 is a 13 week course that talks about personal finance and helps to enlightened and change behavior in the areas of saving, investing, cash flow planning and other personal finance related topics. This ministry seeks to enhance the quality of life of God's children by restoring "Financial Peace and Security" in their households. Our endeavor is to make God's people good stewards of His money and blessings. Therefore, we are committed to teaching the financial principles, which are necessary to regain control of our financial lives and return us back to where God has intended us to be. What is included in the 13 week program?
The program is now a DVD rom based lesson in which the FPU coordinator facilitates group discussion weekly. Participants purchase a FPU member kit for $89 which includes a participant’s workbook, all 13 lessons on cd, financial software, etc. (The price of the FPU member kit is a church discount and is purchased from the Dave Ramsey Lampo Group in Nashville, TN. Last year if a participant couldn't afford the cost of the workbook, it was handled on a case by case basis. Nobody is turned back because of the FPU kit cost.) Since personal finance is 80% behavior and 20% knowledge we seek to change behavior. Debt robs people of their "Peace of Mind". FPU empowers people with hope, confidence and knowledge.
I am not a Financial Planner. However, we will attempt to find answers to issues and topics that are discussed throughout the 13-week course semester.
